Frequently Asked Questions

While it's free, are there any add-on premium services?

HealthTag is completely free. While sites like Pocket can charge up to $4.99/mth, we've have chosen to keep the features simple and focus on the core needs of a user. That keeps costs down. And since we use it ourselves, we are currently sharing it with others, so there are no add-no fees.

What makes HealthTag different?

The Smart Search option, combined with the Multi-Filtering feature, makes HealthTag your go-to 'online filing cabinet' to file and store sites for fast retrieval. Another differentiating feature is the Calendaring option which enables you to remind yourself of important sites in the future. (Like flu information in February or your favorite San Francisco places to visit during the holidays)

How does the Smart Search and Multi-Filtering work?

You can search for any word or term associated with the saved site, and then select a tag or multiple tags to quickly filter down the sites to get to the one or set of sites you're looking for. And the fun part is when you 'model' with HealthTag (selecting and unselecting tags) and uncover other important sites that you have saved over time.

What is site 'caching'?

When you save a website, HealthTag will do it's best effort to immediately save the site content - images and text - to your HealthTag Inbox. This includes PDF files. (Pocket charges $4.99/mth for this service and they don't save PDF site content!)

How does Site Calendaring work?

When viewing saved sites in your HealthTag Inbox, you have three options. 1. Leave it there. 2. Archive it. 3. Set a date in the future to remind you of the site. This feature brings a unique GTD (Getting Things Done) approach to HealthTag. Also, an email notification option is available.

Is Chrome the only browser option?

While you can only load an 'extension' into Chrome, you can use the 'bookmarklet' option on any browser. For more information about the bookmarklet, click here.

What's on the horizon for HealthTag? (And will it cost!)

Up next, based on user feedback, will be the 'advanced search' option. This will extend the current Multi-Filtering and Smart Search features to a user's cached text from a site or PDF. (And and since this a straight forward feature, and just takes a little more processing power, it will also be free)
